Ixcan Creations Weavers and Jewelers

Some of the Ixcan Creations women and their children.
Currently we have 34 jewelers and 7 weavers ranging in ages from 12 to 70 making beautiful, unique items for purchase. The jewelry and rosaries are made predominantly with natural seeds gathered by the women in the Ixcan jungle. The seeds are then dried, drilled and ready for creations such as rosaries, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. The weavings are made by the women, using the ancient art of backstrap weaving, which has been handed down through the centuries by mothers and grandmothers of these women. The sales of goods make a profound difference in the lives of these women who struggle daily to provide for themselves and their families. All proceeds from the sales go back to the women as part of fair trade. Click on the drop down menu for specific items for purchase.
